The Adventure Begins...

I finally got brave and started this about a week ago and this is what I have so far...

Not really that impressive I know. But It's really hard to work on such a large piece of material without a frame to keep it all under control. I've been fiddling with outlining the foliage with metallic thread but we'll see how that goes. As it was it took me three hours to do THAT!! And that's only one of nine that make up the border! What the heck have I let myself in for?
Oh well, inbetween I'll just keep knitting :)
