Risky Business!

I know this is risky, and I hope this doesn't blow up in my face, but I've been making Cross Stitched Pinkeeps for the last several weeks and I've finally got a collection of designs and shapes I like. But I need to sell them for some Christmas money. So before I go further I just want to say...I did not make any of these designs. I am only using them to pretty up the face of the pinkeeps. If anyone has a problem with that, by all means, email me. I'll be mortified and embarrassed, but I will do my best!

So far I have only got the pics of the designs I've made myself, so hopefully I'll be able to build on these and anyone who wants a design that I don't have on hand, I will be able to sew another one. Simples!

Where possible, I will give credit to the actual designer, but since all of these came from Pinterest, obviously that is not always possible. Okay, disclaimer over...

This will do for the time being and it's only the tip of the iceberg! All of these have endless variations available. If you want it on heavier or finer count cloth, colours and material for the back side of the pinkeeps. At the moment I'm relying on what I have on hand. If I can make enough to replenish my stores, I will be stoked beyond words. Anyway, the easiest thing is to comment if you have any questions and then I can contact you and we'll see where we go from there.

Cheers!

Easter!!

The other night I knitted up another bunny from the original pattern but in a much chunkier yarn just to see how well it would turn out, especially since I actually knit the arms and legs the way I was supposed to instead of making it up as I went because I wouldn't take the trouble to read the instructions (duh!) All in all I think it turned out pretty good.
The hardest part was attaching the arms, legs and ears properly. Even being as careful as I could they are by no means even in placement, which drives me a little nuts. But I can live with it. It's still better than my first so every gain is an improvement.
As it was anyway, it was fortunate that I had the bitty bunny. I wanted to give a gift to my non-religious friend that she would like and that my conscience could put up with as a born-again Christian. I thought of my first bunny and imagined with a few alterations, it would fit the bill! My friend and I have been knitting together and enjoying it very much lately so I thought she would love the cuteness of this wee little bunny while I could also share (without being a killjoy)my beliefs in the Easter celebration. I hope you like it and enjoy your own celebrations.
Happy Easter!

Now for some Cute Instant Gratification

After I finished the vest I needed something fun and QUICK. The vest had been heavy and although a simple knit it had been a lot of stitches. So I decided to do one of the few toys I have in my queue. I'm really glad I did. It uses a tiny amount of yarn too, so great for scraps!

It was a little fiddly and in an attempt to do as few repeats as possible I messed up some of the instructions along the way but the finished result exceeded my expectations. She is so cute!!
I will definitely be repeating this pattern. Very basic and very enjoyable. So much scope for adding personality to the little cutie!

Finally, Crochet Critter!

I've often looked at those cute little figures that a lot of people seem to crochet, they've got a japanese name, starts with A? So I thought I would give it a try. Can't be too difficult, right?
Well, difficult, no. Fiddly? YES!! But I got it done!

This is my guy next to the pic of the pattern. The face was fun!

But the making up of the arms and the ears was so fiddly! And as for stuffing it? It had this tiny hole to stuff it through and no matter what I did the legs didn't want to stay stuffed! It was a real relif to put the thing together, to sew the latch onto its back and have it finished!
My hands hurt so bad and it took me ALL DAY! By the end it was sheer stubbornness. I WILL complete this!

Brianna loves it which is I supposed all that matters but it will be a very long, long time before I stray from knitting again!

Keep Knitting :)
